advocacybiobasedbioeconomy

The bioeconomy sector is key to achieve EU’s Competitiveness, strategic autonomy and resilience, while addressing climate challenges. The EU Commission’s 2025 Work Programme, recognises that a strong bioeconomy is vital to sustain EU industrial leadership and to make our industries resilient to climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Furthermore, in the EU Clean Industrial Deal the Commission introduces a sectoral plan to define priorities for manufacturing and using biomaterials, and to retain them in the economy for as long as possible.
